My mother was diagnosed with the last stage of breast cancer in May 2011. Cancer had spread in all of the bones. Due to which she could not walk, so much so that she could not even turn a side while sleeping. Doctors almost declared her to be incurable.
Respected hakeem sahib, Assalam-o-alaikum! Listening to surah Rehman can cure all sorts of illnesses. We read about this in the Ubqari magazine. We read Ubqari with a keen interest. And we eagerly wait for this magazine every month. Allah Almighty has said in the Quran:
”People! Advice has reached you from God. This is that thing which is a cure for the diseases of the hearts. And those who accept this, it is a guide and a blessing for them. O Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)! Say, that this is a blessing of Allah and His graciousness which he has sent. People should celebrate on its arrival. This is better than all those things which these people are trying to gather.” (Surah Younas, 57, 58) Allah Almighty gave 5 gifts of Quran-e-hakeem to the humanity in these two verses. He called it a blessing, a source of healing, guidance, benevolence, wellbeing. Fortunate are those people who acquire and gather this blessing and then distribute it ahead. In this ocean of knowledge and wisdom lies fertility for every human being. The real thing is how much you like to achieve, how much is your thirst. Depending on the want and interest of a person, one gets as much one desires.
Every chapter of this gem is exemplary in its own right. In its every word and letter where a principle for life has been taught, at the same time it is a great source of healing too. Surah Rehman, which is also called the beauty of Quran, is one of the best surahs of the clear light according to its invisible, audible, visible and healing points of view. This is the only surah of Quran which is according to one of the characteristic names of Allah Almighty. Rehman is one of the names of Allah Almighty and also one of His characteristics. It means the most beneficent. And this quality and trait is felt in the whole surah. What to say about this surah which is full of descriptions of universe, Heaven, gardens, springs, hoors etc. Recitation of which makes one feel that sun, moon, stars all of them are prostrating in-front of it. All of them are holding their hands tight and describing its purity and praise. ‘Kullu man Alai-ha faan’ کُلُّ مَنْ عَلَیْھَا فَانٍ, the ones who fear standing in front of their Lord. After reaching this point, each and every particle of this earthly body sublimes in front of the Almighty and omnipotent being.
When healer of the judgment day, hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace be upon him) recited this surah in front of his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), they listened to it with a lot of respect and reverence. Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said that when jinns listened to the recitation of surah Rehman then in response to its verse ”Fabi ayyi aala e rabbi kuma tukazzibaan”
فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّکُمَا تُکَذِّبَانِ , Which then, of the favors of your Lord will you twain deny? They said, O Allah! we do not deny any of your favors. Where listening to the recitation of surah Rehman gladdens the heart and the soul, at the same time listening to its recitation is beneficial for many lethal diseases. Many non-Muslim scholars, doctors and scientific research has proved that listening to surah Rehman heals cancer, hepatitis, tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension and such incurable diseases.

At last after the unanimous decision of all the doctors it was decided that first of all rays would be applied to the spinal cord. In severe pain and suffering we had different laboratory tests of her. Electromagnetic rays were applied to her for five days. Along with that we had her listen to surah Rehman continuously for 7 days thrice a day. After this, all praise be to Allah, mother started sitting on her own. After this chemotherapy was done. Along with that mother listened to surah Rehaman herself. After chemotherapy mother abandoned the use of wheel chair. Now for strengthening the bones she is having injections of calcium. These are still going on. All praise be to Allah, our mother is performing her routine chores with much ease today.
How did our mother’s incurable cancer got treated? How its deleterious effects yielded out of the body. First of all we thank Almighty Allah, the one and only, to an unlimited extent who blessed likes of us. And he made his blessings clear that whom he saves no one can hurt. Secondly our relatives and friends innumerable and sincere prayers to whom we shall always remain thankful. And thirdly our mother’s full of faith worship.
6 Islam and Tolerance Treatment of non-Muslims by the Prophet of Islam

As Muslims we are the followers of an extremely well-mannered Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). He had an exemplary attitude viz a viz non-Muslims. You read in the previous episodes. Now read about the enlightened lives of his followers. Think! The power of decision rests with you.
Our elders and dignified people of the ummah who were our guides and whose lives were light for our lives, what was their way of treatment, behavior and good attitude with non-Muslims and their neighbors. And what sort of love, affection and sacrifice they used to bear in their hearts for non-Muslims, please note an example of this in the following incident.
Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I was present with hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). At that time one of his slaves was slaughtering and cutting a goat. Ibn-e-Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to his slave, when you prepare the meat do not forget to give it to our Jewish neighbor. He said this many times. That slave asked, how many times would you (RA) reiterate this? He (RA) said hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to emphasize so much on the rights of the neighbors that we used to fear that perhaps you (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you) would perhaps include their rights in inheritance.
